This course is an advanced literature course that is designed to give students in-depth knowledge of Modern Poetry. They will gain an insight into the poetry of prominent modern poets. Having attended this course, students will be able to identify various characteristics of modern poetry while critically appraising the works they study. They will be inspired to interpret modern poetry in an informed and analytical manner. The teaching mode will be participatory, allowing students to take active part in a wide range of activities.
